Description
The purpose of this research is to assess potential harm Arizona lettuce growers experience due to rising lettuce imports from Mexico. Market competition has intensified for this sector as fresh fruit and vegetable imports from Mexico increased in the decades following the signing of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). The impact analyses test harm to the Arizona lettuce industry against the statutory requirements that must be met for the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) to issue an affirmative determination of injury.
