Polar Hydration is a company whose mission is to combat the risk of dehydration in cold climates and inspire the adventurer within all of us. Through ASU's Founder's Lab and a partnership with NASA, we set out to take NASA patented technology and develop a business through gathering public interest and implementing a marketing strategy. Our product consists of a freeze-resistant hydration pack which uses insulation and electronics to actively heat its water contents and prevent freezing.

The purpose of this thesis study was to market a favorable solution to reduce stress levels and improve the quality of sleep for young adults by using a piece of technology developed by NASA. This technology was a lighting system initially designed to help astronauts regulate their circadian rhythms in space, and our goal was to find a suitable market for this type of product. Our team wanted to focus on college students because they often suffer from high anxiety and stress levels, which affects their overall productiveness in study rooms and dorms. After conducting research and interviewing students on the ASU campus, we wanted to market a solution that incorporates the same technology, but is also able to adjust lighting intensity and color. Taking this solution, our group setup demonstration rooms in Noble Library to collect data from students who would be interested in seeing more of this product on campus. Additionally, a Facebook advertisement campaign was launched to promote our website and gain any other feedback. Ultimately, these two methods of outreach proved to be a huge success, and there was a significant amount of interest in this product, validating that there is a potential market.

Partnering with a local Great Hearts Academy, we decided to look into why kids tend to not enjoy learning math. Prior to this project, we reflected on our individual experiences with math. One of us found it to be easy and thoroughly enjoyed it throughout school, while the other struggled to understand math and never enjoyed learning the subject. We wanted to look into why that could be. Was it just our teacher? Was it our curriculum? Or was it something deeper? In this project, we explore existing research behind teaching math, as well as interview teachers and students to get their perspective. Our findings showed us that self efficacy and math abilities go hand in hand. We also learned that a growth mindset is essential as students develop problem solving skills. Finally, using our findings, we suggested ways in which teachers and students can make learning math more enjoyable.

Arizona has been rapidly expanding in both population and construction over the last 20 years, and with the hot summer climate, many homeowners experience a significant increase in their utility bills. The cost to reduce these energy bills with home renovations can become expensive. This has become increasingly apparent over the last few years with the impact that covid had on the global supply chain. Prices of materials and labor have never been higher, and with this, the price of energy continues to increase. Therefore, it is important to explore methods to make homes more energy-efficient without the price tag. In addition to benefitting the homeowner by decreasing the cost of their monthly utility bills, making homes more energy efficient will aid in the overall goal of reducing carbon emissions.
