With a recent boom in the popularity of Large Language Model (LLM) chatbots such as ChatGPT, the generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) landscape has seen a massive increase in market size. Along with this boom in generative AI, other sectors of AI have seen massive growth as well. One such area of interest is the Edge AI software market. Because this market is so new, there is an immense amount of room for growth and profit since most firms have yet to obtain a firm foothold in this space. Therefore, it makes sense that Company X is seeking to enter this market. With the successful release of Product O, an open-source AI development and optimization program, and Product G, a program for the development and deployment of computer vision models, Company X is seeking to understand the market landscape, overall potential returns, and broad applications for contingency in various scenarios before making further investments into this market. Through our in-depth analysis of the market, which examines current competitors, and includes top-down and bottoms-up analyses, we were able to create a detailed picture of potential market states, their effects on our recommendation, and the initial outlay needed for Company X to actively pursue our recommendation. As for our final recommendation, we believe that Company X should continue to market Product O to draw users into Company X’s hardware ecosystem, similar to what Apple did with the iPhone, which will allow Company X to obtain a greater market share and long-term user loyalty. Software-hardware synergies will continue to drive an increase in Company X’s overall profits. This secondary source of hardware sales will be insulated from the cyclical nature of the CPU market, allowing for less variability in revenues during market downturns. This decrease in the hardware sales cycle should lead to higher stock prices and increase stakeholder confidence. Successful implementation of these strategies boosts the success of future Company X product launches and stops any competitors from entering the market, solidifying Company X’s hold on its market share.

The purpose of this research is to investigate a new drug that is currently facing the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval process to treat the symptoms of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This new drug is Microbiota Transfer Therapy (MTT) that targets the gut microbiome, which is the ecosystem of bacteria inhabiting our bodies gastrointestinal system. Autism Spectrum Disorder is a neurological and developmental condition that’s prevalence is increasing in the modern-day population, however, no treatments outside of interventions and therapies exist to treat the symptoms of this disorder. Within the past decade, researchers have begun to examine the role that the gastrointestinal system plays in the presence of Autism, in which many studies have shown that the disbalance of gut microbiomes could be linked to some of the behavioral symptoms of ASD. There is an ongoing Adult MTT study that has shown that replacing the participants gut microbiota with healthy donor microbiota, not only do their gastrointestinal symptoms improve, but so do their ASD symptoms. Preliminary results of this study have shown that this treatment is safe, with virtually no serious, lasting adverse effects, while also being effective. This study is in Phase 2 of the FDA approval process and holds promising evidence of a new treatment that would improve the lives of many.

The "AfroWorld: Back to Our Roots" fashion show is a project that goes beyond the runway. It is a transformative event aimed at celebrating the richness of African culture, combating stereotypes, and providing a platform for education and expression. This comprehensive plan outlines the key steps in bringing this vision to life, emphasizing the importance of the show as both an artistic and educational endeavor. The fashion show is the catalyst to a greater discussion on a timeline of African fashion and exploring Afrofuturistic fashion. To start, one has to define AfroFuturistic fashion, it is a type of fashion that draws from African history while blending futuristic elements of design to the garments. My thesis is a greater discussion on how African culture will function in the post modern world, and in turn how that will affect the fashion industry. The beautiful thing about afro futuristic fashion is that this style of fashion challenges a plethora of stereotypes about the African community. That being said, this is serving as a powerful statement of cultural autonomy and celebrating diversity within the African diaspora. The "AfroWorld: Back to Our Roots" fashion show is not merely a fashion show. It is an experience that connects cultural celebration with historical exploration and opens our eyes to what could be on the horizon. This project highlights the richness of African heritage, by challenging stereotypes and providing a platform for artistic expression and education. Within this, it gives reference to the exploration of Afrofuturistic fashion, which is a fusion of traditional African motifs connected with elements of futurism. This then, challenges stereotypes and celebrates the diversity and autonomy within the African diaspora. The fashion show is crafted to unfold as a journey through time, offering a vivid portrayal of the evolution of African fashion across centuries. It is a narrative that speaks volumes, each segment symbolizing a distinct era or facet of African fashion, this is curated to foster inclusivity and instill a profound sense of cultural pride, while additionally challenging the effects of colonialism on the African diaspora. The journey begins with a performance by a traditional African singer, using ancestral tones to set the stage for what is to come. The introduction of traditional Ankara prints on skirts follows, a vibrant celebration of African textiles that pay homage to the rich tapestry of patterns and motifs deeply woven into the fabric of African culture. As the show progresses, it delves deeper into the regional nuances of African fashion, with the elegant display of traditional Sudanese thobes for women. After, it's a traditional East African dance performance. These segments serve as important reminders of the diversity and richness of African cultural expressions. Transitioning seamlessly, the fashion show then shifts its focus to the future, presenting designs by two African sustainable designers inspired by the aesthetic sensibilities of the 70s-90s era. These designs not only reflect a commitment to sustainability but also serve as a bridge between the past and the present, embodying the timeless elegance and cultural resonance of African fashion. An intermission provides a moment for reflection, allowing the audience to ponder the journey thus far and immerse themselves in the cultural tapestry that surrounds them. The ensuing crowd interaction, featuring a best-dressed competition, further fosters community engagement and appreciation, celebrating the beauty and diversity of traditional African attire. As the show progresses, it seamlessly transitions to modern interpretations of African fashion, with a showcase of comforter fashion presenting modern Nigerian attire that seamlessly blends comfort and style for contemporary living. The energy of the West African dance group infuses dynamism into the show, celebrating the vivacious spirit and cultural richness of West Africa. Finally, the fashion show culminates with a juxtaposition of formal and casual fashion aesthetics, featuring designs by a suit designer and a streetwear designer. These contrasting expressions serve as a testament to the diverse range of African fashion, each design a reflection of individual creativity and cultural identity. In conclusion, "AfroWorld: Back to Our Roots" transcends the confines of a mere fashion show; it is a celebration of cultural resilience, a testament to the power of art to provoke thought and inspire change. Through this thesis, we embark on a profound exploration of Afrofuturistic fashion, unraveling its significance in shaping the future of the fashion industry and celebrating the timeless beauty and cultural richness of African heritage. As we defend this thesis, let us reflect on the profound impact of the fashion show in redefining Afrofuturistic fashion and fostering a deeper appreciation for the diverse tapestry of African culture.

In an increasingly technological world, people are spending more time inside than ever and less time outside with one another. Our goal is to create a new game that gets people off the couch and on their feet, spending quality time together. Everyone can recall a fond memory where they were outside with friends and family, and we do not want to let that disappear in today’s world. Three Way is a student-led effort to put an innovative spin on typical lawn games seen at tailgates and backyard barbecues, such as Cornhole and KanJam. Our mission is to bring new life to classic American tailgate games and provide outdoor fun to students and families alike for decades to come. The tailgate game industry is one that has seen little innovation over time as favorites like cornhole have been dominant standouts for many years. Even with this lack of new products, this industry has still consistently grown for the last 4 decades and is projected to continue to grow over the next decade. The global cornhole market is currently $482 million and is forecasted to grow by a CAGR (compound annual growth rate) of 8.6% to $1.2 billion by 2033. We believe that because of this growth, there is room for a new product in this space. We have created social media accounts on various platforms (Instagram, X) to reach as wide an audience as possible, along with creating a website and are in the process of designing merchandise to build excitement around our game. The success of our marketing will be dependent on the amount of views we can create. Our group brings diverse backgrounds to the table with our experience including sports management, marketing, finance, computer information systems, and data analytics. Collectively, we have played a variety of sports in our lives, most notably football, basketball, baseball, golf, and hockey, and are very passionate about sports in general. We believe our extensive experience in sports gives us an advantage over competitors in the industry. We have developed a prototype that we have utilized at tabling events to obtain consumer feedback. Our goal is to refine our current design until we are satisfied with it prior to releasing it to the public for sale, so profit is currently not our main goal. We have surveyed students before and after playing our game to see the difference between their expectations and the actual game play, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.

The purpose of this study was to assess the lasting impact of discriminatory laws in shaping the experience of different minorities interested in participation in higher education. The study examined the ways in which discriminatory laws have barred certain minorities’ ability and access to pursue a higher education. The impact of these discriminatory laws in pursuing higher education continues today. To examine this impact, I conducted a cross-analysis and referenced various previous research studies. Through my research, I identified important common themes, including Generational Impact, Systemic Inequality, and Legal and Policy Implications, which contributed to the lasting impact of discriminatory laws on minority students’ access to higher education.

This thesis will navigate the diverse landscape of film production and provide a comprehensive overview of what goes on behind the silver screen months and sometimes years before the initial release date. The legal aspect of this thesis will touch upon the many contracts and legal documents involved in the pre- and post-production of a film to ensure the producer and those involved in production are legally protected from any contract disputes that may arise. The final portion of the thesis will outline several different financing strategies that are available for producers seeking capital to fund their production. This section will discuss the common challenges filmmakers face when seeking financing, such as budget constraints, market uncertainty, and managing investor expectations.
