The market for searching for food online is exploding. According to one expert at Google, “there are over 1 billion restaurant searches on Google every month” (Kelso, 2020). To capture this market and ride the general digital trend of internet personalization (as evidenced by Google search results, ads, YouTube and social media algorithms, etc), we created Munch to be an algorithm meant to help people find food they’ll love. <br/>Munch offers the ability to search for food by restaurant or even as specific as a menu item (ex: search for the best Pad Thai). The best part? It is customized to your preferences based on a quiz you take when you open the app and from that point continuously learns from your behavior.<br/>This thesis documents the journey of the team who founded Munch, what progress we made and the reasoning behind our decisions, where this idea fits in a competitive marketplace, how much it could be worth, branding, and our recommendations for a successful app in the future.

The market for searching for food online is exploding. According to one expert at Google, “there are over 1 billion restaurant searches on Google every month” (Kelso, 2020). This article summarizes exploratory research conducted on private and public hospital systems in Australia and Costa Rica analyzing the trends observed within supply chain procurement. Physician preferences and a general lack of available comparative effectiveness research—both of which are challenges unique to the health care industry—were found to be barriers to effective supply chain performance in both systems. Among other insights, the ability of policy to catalyze improved procurement performance in public hospital systems was also was observed. The role of centralization was also found to be fundamental to the success of the systems examined, allowing hospitals to focus on strategic rather than operational decisions and conduct value-streaming activities to generate increased cost savings.

like an impossible project for me to manage just one year ago. Having just learned
about procurement a semester ago, and having little experience in the corporate world, I
set out as an intern at a company I

Replacing 214 print devices at 24 different sites across North America seemed
like an impossible project for me to manage just one year ago. Having just learned
about procurement a semester ago, and having little experience in the corporate world, I
set out as an intern at a company I will refer to as Company A, to undertake this project
with much to learn. I soon learned that replacing printers was not so simple, having to
first complete a contract that been worked on for almost two years. Following that, I had
to build relationships both internally and externally, establishing myself as the project
manager with both the vendor and Company A’s internal team. I sought to achieve
accuracy and efficiency, frequently communicating and verifying inventory before finally
beginning to replace printers across North America. After 7 months of hard-work,
collaboration, and communication, Company A was able to successfully receive all their
new print devices.
Along the way, I learned several lessons regarding goal setting, bottlenecks, and
communication. As the project kept receiving continual delays, I realized the
nonobtainable timeline and goals that were established. I also soon found bottlenecks
were constantly being avoided and pushed into the background, before growing into
large issues as the project progressed. One of the largest bottlenecks being an internal
disagreement on the secure print feature of the print devices. Finally, I found
communication between internal teams was not enough in reducing conflict and
increasing efficiency. From my experience with this project and as an intern, I have
learned many lessons that I will utilize in my professional career in the supply chain
field.

This research seeks to identify key influencers on a relatively new type of policy instrument, the Sustainable Purchasing Policy, in the local government context. Specifically, we analyze how vendor relationships and organizational capacity affect perceived Sustainable Purchasing Policy success. This research seeks to identify key influencers on a relatively new type of policy instrument, the Sustainable Purchasing Policy, in the local government context. Specifically, we analyze how vendor relationships and organizational capacity affect perceived Sustainable Purchasing Policy success. Using statistical analysis on a nationally distributed survey to city directors as well as interviews with city purchasing agents, we are able to identify what factors are likely to lead to successful policy implementation. Our findings show that cities benefit from their vendors providing reliable information regarding sustainable offerings, that vendors offering sustainable goods need superior technical capabilities to compete in a cost-driven environment, and that purchasing agents require support from a city’s top management if they want to successfully implement sustainable purchasing. Future avenues for research are discussed.

This project was performed to uncover new trends and insights in the fields of entrepreneurship and emerging technology for 2019 and then compare these trends to the landscape at Arizona State University. The 2019 South by Southwest Interactive Conference and Trade Shows were attended by the researchers and the experience was captured on video. In addition, the information and trends uncovered at this conference were used to direct secondary research that ultimately culminated into a final presentation that highlights new and positive courses of action for Arizona State’s entrepreneurship and innovation programs that will continue their growth on a national and international basis. This paper serves as scholarly support and evidence of the researcher’s suggestions in the final presentation.

Its mission: to provide people with an unforgettably positive fitness experience where each and every person feels empowered to create love for themselves through state-of-the-art technology. With the fitness industry is quickly growing, and it is imperative for Create Cycle to differentiate itself within the Scottsdale market.
