Barrett, The Honors College at Arizona State University proudly showcases the work of undergraduate honors students by sharing this collection exclusively with the ASU community.

Barrett accepts high performing, academically engaged undergraduate students and works with them in collaboration with all of the other academic units at Arizona State University. All Barrett students complete a thesis or creative project which is an opportunity to explore an intellectual interest and produce an original piece of scholarly research. The thesis or creative project is supervised and defended in front of a faculty committee. Students are able to engage with professors who are nationally recognized in their fields and committed to working with honors students. Completing a Barrett thesis or creative project is an opportunity for undergraduate honors students to contribute to the ASU academic community in a meaningful way.

Crazed Oasis strives to create a community-based, sustainable clothing brand that looks and feels great, while creating a community that is safe and welcoming to individuals of all backgrounds. We strive to educate all about the world to provide an understanding and appreciation for all individuals and cultures. The current climate of the world is a crazy one, and the clothing industry is highly unsustainable. Crazed Oasis is creating the solution by building a community to create new friendships and connections while focusing on the important topics of the world, such as sustainability, mental health, human rights, arts and passions, and more. Through our clothing products, we will educate and create a culture of understanding through art.

Malaria affects 229 million people annually, causing 410,000 deaths, with children being the most vulnerable. Insecticide-treated bed nets (ITNs) are the primary protection against mosquito bites, but 96% of nets become torn within two years of use. Our team developed a one-dollar repair kit that can be shipped alongside ITNs, including patching materials recycled from ITN manufacturing and simple-to-follow instructions. Our patching material, made from recycled high-density polyester anti-insect nets, is more than twice as strong as standard mosquito netting. During our first distribution in Uganda, 77% of families used our kits to repair their bed nets and experienced a 28.3% increase in their perceived importance of patching. Our primary target customers are nonprofits, governments, and governmental agencies. Our immediate market goal is to collaborate with major international malaria prevention nonprofits. With limited competition, our repair kits offer a superior, sustainable, and cost-effective solution. Our direct impact includes lives saved and cost savings for nonprofits. Our value proposition focuses on impact and outreach, as our kits increase net lifespan and organizations' reach.

As members of the Greek community at Arizona State University, we understand that there is a need for a cohesive software that can collectively simplify the amount of applications that fraternities and sororities use, as well as provide a high quality user experience. Our idea is called One Greek. One Greek can be summed up to address three issues: simplifying communication among members of the same organization, enhancing the event planning process, and creating a new recruitment experience to increase retention and better promote the Greek community.

The lack of infrastructure to provide clean drinking water and sanitation has led to the immense influx and use of plastic sachets, plastic water bottles, and the overall continued rise of plastic usage. Plastic pollution is rising at unprecedented rates. Current estimations show that there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish before 2050. BYOH2O was developed in efforts to ensure clean water access for individuals while minimizing waste creation and more specifically, reducing plastic. BYOH2O (Bring Your Own H2O) is a revolutionary device that provides clean water for outdoor recreational trips such as backpacking, hiking, hunting, and cycling. The BYOH2O company was created in August 2021. BYOH2O is a device that significantly reduces the amount of plastic that is typically found in portable water devices by allowing the easy filtration of water without the need for electricity.
