Using experience, observations, data, current research, and writings in the field of volunteer management, it was determined there was a need to study the effects of leadership/management practices on the productivity outcomes of a volunteer construction workforce. A simple wood bench that would be tiled and painted was designed to test the areas of Time, Waste, Quality, Safety, and Satisfaction of different volunteer groups. The challenge was bolstered by giving the teams no power tools and limited available resources. A simple design of experiment model was used to test highs and lows in the three management techniques of Instruction, Help, and Encouragement. Each scenario was tested multiple times. Data was collected, normalized and analyzed using statistical analysis software. A few significant findings were discovered. The first; the research showed that there was no significant correlation between the management practices of the leader and the satisfaction of the volunteers. The second; the research also showed when further analyzed into specific realistic scenarios that the organizations would be better to focus on high amounts of Help and Encouragement in order to maximize the productivity of their volunteer construction workforce. This is significant as it allows NPO's and governments to focus their attention where best suited to produce results. The results were shared and the study was further validated as "significant" by conducting interviews with experts in the construction nonprofit sector.

Study metrics included provider<br/>satisfaction and perceptions regarding opioid prescription. Mayo Clinic transitioned its EHR<br/>system from Cerner to Epic in October 2018. This study aims to understand if provider perceptions<br/>about COT changed after the EHR transition and the reasons underlying those perceptions.

Together with a representative working at the Phoenix office of the AHA a project to create a marketing material which focused on volunteer retention was formed. Volunteer retention was addressed in two ways. First, through the understanding of volunteer motivations to attract volunteers with a higher predisposition to positive outcome experience within a specific organization. Secondly, understating the influences on both general and student volunteer satisfaction linked with volunteer retention. The pamphlet includes both information pulled directly from multiple AHA public information and information collected from employees at the Phoenix office of the AHA. Questions were built to gather information specific to the research conducted on volunteer motivation and satisfaction. These questions were then disseminated to a supervisor over at the Phoenix office of the AHA. The resulting answers were then returned, summarized and used in the completed pamphlet. The final product created is a digital pamphlet which was made while adhering to basic principles of pamphlet design and marketing.

Background: Creation and reuse of reliable clinical code sets could accelerate the use of EHR data for research. To support that vision, there is an imperative need for methodologically. driven, transparent and automatic approaches to create error-free clinical code sets. Objectives: Propose and evaluate an automatic, generalizable, and knowledge-based approach that uses as starting point a correct and complete knowledge base of ingredients (e.g., the US Drug Enforcement Administration Controlled Substance repository list includes fentanyl as an opioid) to create medication code sets (e.g., Abstral is an opioid medication with fentanyl as ingredient). Methods: Algorithms were written to convert lists of ingredients into medication code sets, where all the medications are codified in the RxNorm terminology, are active medications and have at least one ingredient from the ingredient list. Generalizability and accuracy of the methods was demonstrated by applying them to the discovery of opioid and anti-depressant medications. Results: Errors (39 (1.73%) and 13 (6.28%)), obsolete drugs (172 (7.61%) and 0 (0%)) and missing medications (1,587 (41.26%) and 1,456 (87.55%)) were found in publicly available opioid and antidepressant medication code sets, respectively. Conclusion: The proposed knowledge-based algorithms to discover correct, complete, and up to date ingredient-based medication code sets proved to be accurate and reusable. The resulting algorithms and code sets have been made publicly available for others to use.
