This thesis focuses on the increasing emphasis on sustainability within the fashion industry and how brands, specifically H&M, can increase their market share through updating their in-store retail strategy. Seven common retail strategies are analyzed and recommendations in each area are made to enhance H&M’s emphasis on sustainability. To support these potential recommendations, two focus groups were conducted to evaluate some potential in-store marketing elements. Upon the conclusion of the focus group research, participant’s thoughts were taken into consideration to revise the recommended retail strategies. Overall, by implementing the recommended retail marketing strategies, H&M can incorporate their Conscious line more fully within their stores and promote their new sustainable focus to further their brand in the future.

Content creation, or the process of creating and then publishing pieces of creative work, is an increasingly popular way in which individuals can earn income. In fact, one area of content creation, video development, allows many creators to build a full-time career through content they release online through video distribution platforms like YouTube and TikTok. By building their platform and growing their follower base, creators are able to earn money simply by viewers watching their videos. Creators cultivate a brand around their personal image and how they want to be perceived, and they base their content around this brand which they tailor to a specific audience. Content creators often build profitable businesses based off of their personal brand in order to create a career that can potentially outlast fleeting fame and fortune. These businesses founded by content creators are uniquely positioned compared to a traditional business, due to the lasting relationships that creators nurture with their audiences. They create a deep-rooted connection based on authenticity and trust that the creator instills in their followers. Compared to influencer marketing, where creators are paid by a company to sell their products, products that creators personally create are able to make a larger impact on their audience since their product is rooted in the brand they have fostered and is specifically targeted toward their follower base. This paper focuses on exploring the background of YouTube, TikTok, and other methods creators can utilize to build their personal brand, and how they can leverage success on their platform to create businesses and strategically position themselves in the market. By considering individual success stories of content creators, this paper examines the factors that contributed to the growth of each of their platforms and the success of their businesses. Through these examples it becomes apparent that gaining popularity on YouTube and then converting that popularity to a successful business lacks a direct path for success and is not guaranteed for each person by following a specific formula.

Supply chain sustainability has become an increasingly important topic for corporations due to consumer demands, regulatory requirements, and employee retention and productivity. Since more and more stakeholders are beginning to care about sustainability, companies are looking at how they can reduce their carbon footprint without it leading to higher costs. Although sustainable supply chain operations are often associated with higher costs, new technology has surfaced within the last decade that makes this association come into question. This paper serves as an investigation on whether or not implementation of recent technology will not only make for more sustainable supply chains, but also bring cost savings to a company. For the sake of simplicity, this paper analyzes the topic within the context of the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry. The three categories of technology that were evaluated are artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, and data integration systems. Internship projects and/or published case studies and articles were examined to explore the relationship between the technology, supply chain sustainability, and costs. The findings of this paper indicate that recent technology offers companies innovative sustainability solutions to supply chains without sacrificing cost. This calls for CPG companies to invest in and implement technology that allows for more sustainable supply chains. Shying away from this because of cost concerns is no longer necessary.

It is essential for nonprofit organizations to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of their programs on their target communities to demonstrate their value and progress to current and prospective stakeholders. Unfortunately, due to finite resources, projects developed and conducted by small international non-governmental organizations (INGO's) are unable to conduct regular evaluations. In this study, I will be conducting an evaluation of a community school project completed by an INGO in order to gauge the project's impact in the community. The evaluation includes a review of previously published literature on the subject, as well as survey data that was gathered to gauge the project's impact. The results of this study found not only that the community school students were beating both the district and national average in examination scores, but also that 100% of students in attendance planned on completing some form of higher education. Furthermore, a majority of the enrolled students would not have had access to alternate forms of education without the community school. For these reasons, the project appears to be meeting all of its current objectives. The evaluation produced several strong recommendations for the school's future improvement such as continuous benchmarking and self-evaluation, increased focus on shifting towards self-sustainability, and an overall improvement of its current facilities.
