Arizona graduate student S. B. Schreffler interviews Professor Pirrone, a life long educator who has worked her way from school substitute, ASU Math Professor, and finally an excellent educator of new teachers at Arizona State University.
The interview centers around a conversation with an anonymous public school administrator at a small, South Louisiana high school. The interviewee covers topics from the problem with teacher retention, school security, salary, and the future of public education nationwide.
Audio interview with Kindergarten teacher Nancy Malek and her experiences in teaching in New Mexico at a year round, multi level school and in Washington State at both public and private schools. Issues of politics in education, bilingualism, funding, and charter schools are also discussed.
