Introduction/Purpose: This paper describes the process of the community needs assessment phase of program implementation for the Student Health Outreach for Wellness (SHOW) clinic. Homeless individuals are more likely (than non homeless individuals) to experience serious illness, depression and mental illness. Access to health care has been identified as a barrier to receiving appropriate health care to manage the diseases and conditions clients may have. SHOW's vision is to operate on Saturdays utilizing Health Care for the Homeless (HCH) to offer extended primary health care hours, along with offering health promotion programming to address the biopsychosocial components of their health. Ultimately, this aims to reduce the homeless population's need to visit emergency room departments for non- urgent, primary care visits. Methods: To validate the need for this clinic's operation of programming and health services, a community needs assessment was conducted to collect data about the population's current health status. Forty-three people (n=43) ages 20-76 (M = 44.87) were surveyed by a trained research team using interview questionnaires. Results: The results show a prevalence of self\u2014reported physical and behavioral conditions, and support that this population would benefit from extended hours of care. Mental and behavioral health conditions are the most prevalent conditions (with the highest rates of depression (41.86%) and anxiety disorder (32.56%)), followed by the common cold (23.36%) and back pain (16.28%). The average reported emergency department (ED) visits within the past six months was 1.18 times. Almost everyone surveyed would visit a free medical clinic on the Human Services Campus (HSC) staffed by health staff and health professional students on the weekends (93.18%). Conclusion: Overall, the community needs assessment conducted for SHOW supports the need for weekend access to health care facilities and an interest in health programming for this population.

This paper outlines the process of designing, creating, and implementing a supply chain management outreach program to benefit high schools students in areas surrounding Intel campuses. The program—which spreads awareness of supply chain management and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) and how they work together in businesses today—was created and tested by me, with the help of the following committee members: James Kellso – Director, Cheryl Dalsin – 2nd Reader, and Jack Berg – 3rd Reader. The end goal is for this program to become sustainable, and for it to spread as far and wide as possible. Supply chain management and STEM are becoming crucial to understand in businesses today and will only become more imperative in future years.

The purpose of this study was to determine if there were asymmetries in ground reaction forces (GRF) between dancers and non-dancers, and to see the effect of GRF on external (ER) and internal rotator (IR) strength. Subjects performed double- and single-legged jumps on a force plate with a motion capture marker system attached at anatomical landmarks, and then had strength and range of motion (ROM) of their internal and external rotators tested along at degrees of hip flexion. There were no significant differences in GRF between legs for all subjects involved. However, stronger hip ER was negatively correlated with vertical GRF (z-axis), positively correlated with anteroposterior (y-axis) GRF, and higher mediolateral (x-axis) GRF from double-leg trials was positively correlated with knee abduction. Thus, future studies should further investigate GRF broken into axial components as well as the time to peak GRF to determine any relation of these factors to knee valgus and ACL injury risk.

This thesis will analyze the effects that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on Arizona State University's marketing efforts to new and current students in regard to budgeting, tactics, and effectiveness. The purpose of this thesis is twofold: to uncover the practices implemented by the university amid the pandemic and assess the impact that such practices had on their marketing effectiveness. Arizona State University (ASU) currently has over 75,000 enrolled students and is focused on innovation, entrepreneurship, and a deep commitment to serving the public interest during a time of rapid and complex societal change. These goals and objectives translate directly into ASU’s marketing strategy and content development, but with an ever-changing world landscape, it is imperative to analyze the key changes and strategic initiatives that were made due to the pandemic in order to assess how to best move forward. Empirical data was collected through 7 interviews with participants across various colleges and campuses at ASU to identify the holistic strategy pre- and post-pandemic and what the implications are for current and prospective students. The findings revealed that the pandemic was a catalyst for the transition to online recruitment and marketing tactics that proved to be more successful in the attraction of prospective students than prior strategies due to the outreach capabilities. Additionally, the pandemic forced Arizona State University to change their messaging to be more student-focused in order to resonate stronger with consumers. The adoption of new marketing strategies and tactics because of the pandemic ultimately proved to be effective in increasing enrollment at ASU.
