<dc:description>This study explores how agritourism can serve as a sustainable development strategy to enhance the livelihoods and resilience of rural communities, using Fatumnasi Village in Indonesia as a case study. As rural areas face mounting socio-economic challenges, including persistent poverty and declining agricultural viability, agritourism emerges as a promising avenue to diversify income, preserve cultural heritage, and strengthen local economies. Grounded in a community-based tourism (CBT) framework and guided by a constructivist paradigm, this research employs qualitative methods specifically, semi-structured interviews and participant observation, to understand the lived experiences of stakeholders such as farmers, villagers, local leaders, and tourists. Findings highlight both the potential and obstacles of agritourism development, including limited infrastructure, institutional gaps, marketing challenges, and internal community dynamics. At the same time, the study identifies significant opportunities rooted in local culture, natural attractions, and strong communal values like mutual cooperation. The results underscore the importance of participatory planning and equitable benefit-sharing to ensure that agritourism contributes meaningfully to rural sustainability. This research provides practical insights for policymakers and community stakeholders aiming to integrate tourism with agriculture in ways that foster inclusive, locally driven development.
