<dc:description>This thesis examines the nationwide student movements centered around university responses in handling sexual misconduct cases. Over the last decade, universities have witnessed several student-led protests calling for changes in university handling of sexual assault or Title IX cases. Incorporating evidence from social media posts, news articles, and survey responses, this thesis demonstrates that universities should incorporate student voices and perspectives in changes to policy and in providing additional resources. Student demands represent areas where universities can improve to better support students. By centering student voices, universities will be more equipped to appropriately address sexual violence on campus and ensure the well-being of students. This thesis argues for a more student-focused approach to handling sexual misconduct and violence cases where survivors are treated with empathy and compassion.</dc:description>
