<dc:description>This research project focuses on exploring the role of food in shaping student identity and community at ASU, emphasizing the connection between culinary heritage and cultural exploration. As students transition to college life, food becomes a vital aspect of their personal identity, reminding them of cherished traditions while also exposing them to global cuisines. By sharing meals and experiences, students foster connections and understanding among diverse backgrounds, enhancing empathy and breaking down cultural barriers. This research consists of academic insights and a case study with surveys and interviews to explore how food influences students' sense of self and community, aiming to highlight its impact on personal identity and cultural awareness during college years. This study also contributed to the creation of a collaborative recipe book, the creative aspect of this research.</dc:description>
