                  <dc:description>Systemic racism profoundly impacts the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD and autism in Black individuals, leading to widespread misdiagnosis and underdiagnosis. Rooted in Eurocentric diagnostic frameworks and bias, these disparities deny Black neurodivergent individuals much needed access to adequate care and support. This thesis uses a qualitative approach to examine these inequities through Critical Race Theory, the Social Model of Disability, and personal narratives, advocating for culturally competent reforms in healthcare, education, and policy.</dc:description>
