<dc:description>This study explores captivity by examining public perceptions within and between prison and zoo systems in the United States. Through a survey, we gathered opinions on the treatment and conditions within both systems, attitudes towards their purposes and values, and overall ethics related to captivity. Additionally, we assessed public views and attitudes towards engagement in reform efforts. By comparing these captivity systems, we aim to initiate conversations surrounding captivity.
