<dc:description>My thesis is an exploration of the intersection between children’s literature, social justice, and developmental psychology. Over the course of the year, I researched, wrote, and illustrated a picture book that seeks to educate children ages 5-8 on the issue of homelessness through the lens of compassion and empathy. My hope for this project is that I can help children develop stronger capacities for empathy through literature to achieve a better and kinder future for us all.
