Sponsored by ImmiCan CEO Saad Khan, the project involved leading a team of students to design an app for both iOS and Android. As project manager, I was responsible for organizing team responsibilities, setting timelines, managing communication, and making sure we stayed aligned with the goals of the app. I also worked on technical planning like creating user journey maps and wireframes, while balancing the overall leadership of the team. Although we weren’t able to fully complete the app by the end of the project, the experience taught me a lot about what it really takes to lead a team in a real-world setting. I had to adapt to changing schedules, work through unexpected challenges, and learn how to keep the team motivated. This project showed me that leadership isn’t just about making plans—it’s about being flexible, communicating clearly, and making tough decisions when things don’t go as expected. The skills I developed during this experience go beyond technical knowledge, and I believe they’ve prepared me for future roles in both academic and professional environments.
