                  <dc:description>Human papillomavirus infection has been identified as a significant risk factor for various
cancers, including cervical, anal, and oropharyngeal cancers. Vaccination against HPV presents a powerful preventive strategy to mitigate the incidence of these malignancies. Our work aims to
understand transmission dynamics to illustrate the effect of HPV vaccination on HPV infection,
transmission, and development of associated morbidities. By analyzing immunization data,
national and statewide cancer incidence rates, as well as relative risk estimates from
peer-reviewed articles, we modeled the potential effect of a university HPV vaccination
campaign on cancer incidence and mortality. This work emphasizes the importance of
vaccination among at-risk groups and informs how we promote vaccine uptake for cancer
prevention.</dc:description>
