<dc:description>As computers continue to grow more integral to everyday life, video games are becoming more accessible and more important as a medium for communication. Video games can communicate with their players through three methods: visually, auditorily, and haptically. By taking lessons from the fields which entirely focus on these kinds of communication, game developers can put together experiences that amount to more than just the sum of their parts. Good visual communication can take lessons from photographers and painters, good auditory communication can learn from musicians and composers. Good haptic communication is something that has only recently started receiving academic attention, but mindful use of force-feedback has already shown to provide unique benefits to users. Implementations of these concepts are discussed as seen in a number exemplary games. </dc:description>
