<dc:description>The gut microbiota plays a critical role in homeostasis of various tissues. Not only does the microbiota play a role in metabolic processes throughout the body, but it also regulates hypothalamic function, body composition, bone architecture, and inflammation. The goal of this study is to determine if short-term depletion of the gut microbiota influences body composition as well as hypothalamic inflammation in mice.</dc:description>
