Noell, Steph
A collection of scholarly and professional work created by Steph Noell.
Steph Noell is the Head Librarian at ASU's Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) Library. In this role, they:
- develop and manage library collections
- serve as liaison librarian for ASU’s Fashion Design and Merchandising department
- collaborate with ASU partners across the institution
- create innovative library services and programs that cross disciplines
- engage in service and scholarly activities
Prior to joining ASU Library, Steph was the Special Collections Librarian at the University of Texas at San Antonio Libraries where they managed a rare book collection comprised of more than 40,000 titles, including the largest Mexican cookbook collection in the U.S.
Steph’s research interests include popular culture formats like comics and zines as well as creating inclusive, accessible library spaces for users. Their academic background is in environmental philosophy, library and information sciences, theatre, and art.
